Our Full- Service Programs are ideal for businesses that want to enjoy the benefits of the Get Slightly Famous marketing system but don't have the time or resources to implement a comprehensive program on their own.
We work with select professionals, small businesses, and organizations on a full -service agency basis. Full- Service Programs are ideal for:
- Companies without sufficient time or resources to pursue Slightly Famous PR or marketing projects
- Small to medium-sized businesses without a marketing or PR department
- Corporations interested in adding a customized Slightly Famous marketing program to their existing marketing efforts
- CEOs wanting to pursue a personal branding strategy
Full -Service Programs can pursue a variety of objectives based on your needs, budget and marketing goals. We've helped clients refine their target market and marketing message, pursue targeted media exposure, including publishing articles and getting quoted in targeted publications, and implement an effective online marketing strategy.
Although each program is customized to meet your individual needs, we work through these steps with our clients:
Get to Know Your Business
Each program begins with an initial Get Slightly Famous market analysis. In this analysis we develop an understanding of your business and industry -- how you work, how you are unique, what you are currently doing to promote yourself, and what is newsworthy about what you do. We then optimize your target market, positioning and branding strategies based on the Get Slightly Famous marketing model.
Develop a Media List
We then develop a media list of relevant print, online and, when applicable, broadcast media. We research your industry through publications, books, and the Internet to unearth trade, business and special interest publications, including a comprehensive list of web sites that reach your target market, that are most likely to respond to your business and provide media coverage.
Position You As An Expert and Media Resource
Reporters are not experts. The media need you -- the industry expert -- to give substance and credibility to their publications. If you have in-depth knowledge about a specific subject -- and that subject can be your business -- you qualify, too.
We actively position you as an expert and media resource in media that reach their target market. We connect you with editors and journalists who write about your industry. We help you leverage your inside knowledge to give you a halo of authority that gets the media calling you!

National Association of Trade Exchanges (NATE)
NATE is a network for the business-to-business barter industry, comprised of hundreds of local member barter exchanges across the country. Our goal was to educate readers in targeted industries about the benefits of barter exchange membership and to recruit new members from within very targeted industries on a national basis. This project exemplifies our highly targeted approach when working with clients. In coordination with NATE, we chose four industries-- Restaurant, Hotel and Hospitality, Printing, and Office Supply -- whose members had expressed a strong desire for increased recruitment.
Over the course of six months, we secured four feature stories reaching each chosen industry in print. In addition, NATE's members use these article reprints as sales tools when reaching these industries locally.
"Our industry has experienced steady growth over the past decade. We attribute much of that success to Get The Word Out Communications and their steady, sustained approach to exposure in the media."

C.J. Hayden, Author, Speaker, Business Coach
"I'm a professional writer myself, so at first glance you wouldn't think I'd need a service like Get Slightly Famous. But I'm also a business owner, and my most precious commodity is time.
The whole process happened without my having to do much more than respond to occasional requests for information or decisions. I'm very pleased with the return on my investment.
After an initial consultation to identify goals and a few interviews focusing on my areas of expertise, GSF wrote and placed articles about my work in some very desirable publications, including Home Office Computing, Beauty Inc. and Costco Connection.
In our first two weeks of working together, I was interviewed by four publications tailor-made for my expertise. As a result of the interviews, I appeared in a newsletter sent to 170,000 potential customers in my target market, and a print magazine distributed to 23,000 possible buyers of my book.
Something else worthy of note is that my book's sales rank on Amazon suddenly leapt up yesterday. It usually hovers around #1500-3000, but yesterday it ranked as high as #675. That's the first time I can recall it's ranked better than #1000. Also, my newsletter subscriptions are fairly high right now. So the impact may indeed be larger!"

Generate Story Ideas
We develop story ideas related to your business that we pitch to publications on your media list. We generate ideas that are newsworthy (and likely to be of interest to editors), and base them on the messages you want to communicate to your target audience.
We also devise strategies that will encourage prospects to contact you once they have read your articles.
Pursue the Press
We approach selected publications on our approved media list. Once we get an editorial commitment, we will notify you to make sure you are in agreement before we arrange interviews or start writing articles.
An article typically requires a few revisions (drafts) before it's ready to publish. The first draft goes to you for feedback, fact checking, and editing. The second draft will be fine- tuned with the editorial department of the publication. The third draft usually sees publication.
After articles appear in print, we will arrange for reprints for inclusion in your marketing materials.

We contributed articles to a number of publications, including Quirks, a marketing trade magazine. We also conducted a survey that measured shopping behavior in advance of the 2000 holiday shopping season, and publicized the results.
