Summary

As a startup in 2019, we established Returns On Wellbeing Institute’s reputation among HR and C Suite decision makers. Our process centered on building authority and credibility via thought leadership marketing, including strategic partnerships, publishing, original research and public speaking.

Brand Development: After extensive research into the workplace wellness sector, we developed a brand strategy that focused on helping employers identify best practices in workplace wellbeing initiatives that deliver employee health outcomes and help employers achieve strategic business goals.

Market Entry Strategy. We helped the firm quickly earn awareness and credibility by publishing research-supported viewpoints, best practices and real-world case studies. Our strategy aimed to attract reach prospects and industry influencers with credible information that illustrated how companies can see measurable returns from their wellness investments.

Thought Leadership. We showcased the company and its principals as emerging thought leaders on workplace wellbeing. This included publishing articles in leading trade and business media, speaking at industry conferences and webinars, and providing media commentary on wellness best practices. 

Original Research. To support and validate its ideas, we helped the firm develop a partnership with Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). This included speaking at their national conference, delivering webinar presentations to WELCOA members.

Human Resource Executive. After releasing its research study, Workplace Wellness: Best Practices Report 2022, the firm contributed, Are you following these 6 best practices for workplace wellness?, which discussed key findings and opportunities for HR to see better outcomes from wellness programs.

CNBC: Company co-founder Jim Purcell participated in a CNBC forum, The ROI of Wellness at CNBC’s @Work Summit. He discussed the pressure on decision-makers to justify the cost and quantify the impact on employee health, and how top companies measure ROI.

National Association of Corporate Directors: Co-founder Jim Purcell delivered two presentations at yearly summits held by the National Association of Corporate Directors, including a talk titled Why Culture Must Become The Strategy.

Chief Executive. The leading publication for CEOs published several articles, including Workplace Wellness: The Case For CEO Leadership, which discussed how CEOs have to start seeing employee wellness as an enabler of strategy to achieve real ROI from employee wellbeing efforts.
