Get The Word Out Communications is offering a free consultation for select consulting firms to review your marketing and lead generation efforts and explore a customized marketing and sales strategy with the potential to double your business.

How this Works

This consultation will deliver proven marketing strategies drawn from our recent study with the Institute of Management Consultants, What’s Working (and what’s not) in Marketing For Consultants 2015, which polled small and mid-sized consulting firms across the United States.

This study examined old tactics like networking, speaking and writing along with new technologies like the web and social media. After polling nearly 400 consultants, we identified the most effective marketing strategies used by top-performing consultants - this information is not available anywhere else.

If you’re selected for the Strategy Session, we’ll analyze your income and growth goals, current marketing strategies and sources of new business leads. Then, we’ll help you create an evidence-based marketing strategy to help you achieve your goals.

To start, we will send you our Get Slightly Famous(™) 10-minute Marketing Assessment to evaluate your past and current marketing and lead generation efforts. Hundreds of B2B consultants have already used our assessment to attract new prospects and convert them into paying clients.

Next, we’ll schedule a phone meeting where we’ll discuss ways to help you:

Additionally, I’m looking for fresh, real-world case studies to illustrate what really works in marketing for B2B consultants.

Can I do this myself?

Many consultants who’ve taken part in these consultations have gone on to apply our co-created marketing strategy on their own. Others have decided to work with us to implement it. The choice is yours.

In this free consultation, you’ll get no sales pitch, no come-on. We don’t need to “sell” you anything. If after your consultation, you see the value in becoming client, great! We can talk about it. If you don’t want to become a client – that’s OK too.

This Is NOT For Everybody

I only work with a number of qualified consulting firms. Not everyone is a good fit for these free consultations, or the strategies I provide in these free consultations. So, I need to stress a few things to ensure we’re on the same page.

I’m highly selective about whom I’ll speak with, and I’ve got a strict (but reasonable) set of criteria that needs to be met in order for us to proceed: As a good strategy session prospect, you should embrace the following:

1. You have to be in business. You should be in business and actively serving clients. You have achieved a baseline level of success and are ready to take your business to a higher level. You should gross at a minimum in the six figures, but have aspirations for much more.

2. You actively market your company. In other words, you’ve taken steps to proactively grow your business, rather than passively relying on referrals or repeat client engagements.

Don’t get me wrong. Referrals and repeat business are the marks of a successful consulting firm. However, if you find yourself in a perpetual feast or famine mode, the only real solution is a proactive business development program that moves beyond your existing clients or contact network.

3. You have a marketing budget. You understand that marketing is a core business function that requires planning and resources. Therefore, you’ve established a realistic budget for necessary marketing and sales expenses, including conference travel, membership fees, coaching, graphic design or areas that require outside assistance.

4. You’re ready to take action. If you’re reading this, you’re most likely looking for ways to grow your business. You’re ready to do something different (rather than repeat what hasn’t worked in the past) and are committed to taking action in the near-term (rather than succumb to ‘analysis paralysis’, you will actually implement the ideas we develop).
