Christopher Savoie, GNI International, Ltd.

GNI is a global pharmaceutical development group with offices in Japan, the U.K. and the United States.

GNI’s CEO, Dr. Christopher Savoie, is an experienced entrepreneur recognized as an innovator in his industry. However, his name recognition, although strong in Japan, needed a boost to set the stage for GNI’s expansion into the global biotechnology sector.

CEO Branding Program

Get The Word Out Communications created a CEO branding program for Savoie that showcased his experience in leading a global company.

Industry Positioning. Get The Word Out showcased several GNI initiatives in the biotech, investment and business media. We pursued this strategy through print, public speaking, and media interviews.

Thought Leadership. We cultivated Savoie as a commentator on the emerging Asian biotech market and how to successfully create a global firm in Asia.

Centers of Influence. We identified and introduced GNI and Savoie to all relevant centers of influence in the biotech industry, pharmaceutical and investment communities.

Results

Within 2 years, GNI moved from a relatively obscure start-up to a rising star within the international biotech industry.

Contributed Articles

We published contributed articles in PharmaVoice and BioExecutive that prominently showcased Savoie and GNI, and discussed the growth potential of Japan’s biotech sector in the global marketplace.

Media Placements

Get The Word Out monitored interview opportunities through a topical database comprised of journalists and columnists that covered the biotech and investment industries. We also leveraged international media contacts via a Japanese communications partner. Media interviews/profiles included Businessweek and Financial Times.

Get The Word Out developed a consistent media pipeline and developed several press releases and media announcements around key GNI developments. This generated over 100 media placements in business and investment media that significantly contributed to GNI’s fundraising efforts.

Public Speaking

We promoted GNI principals as speakers for industry conferences, securing speaker opportunities at Cambridge Health Institute “Discovery on Target” (Boston), IBC Drug Discovery Technology (Boston), Drug Discovery and Development China (Shanghai), and Advances in Drug Discovery and Development (Tokyo, Japan).

I worked with Get The Word Out Communications when I served as the Vice President of Business Development for GNI, Ltd. I worked closely with Get The Word Out Communications to write and publish several articles about the Japanese biotechnology industry, GNI’s systems pharmacology technology and its U.S. partnering strategy. They also developed numerous press releases about the company’s scientific and commercial successes and identified many opportunities for the company’s executives and scientists to speak at top-quality conferences.

In those years, I was GNI’s only marketing and business development person, so I could not have done anything for the company without the support of Get The Word Out.
